After a week in Argentina, it was time to head for the airport again, and take a plane to Rio De Janeiro! I usually don’t go to very touristy destinations, but this was my gateway to this huge magnificent country.
The first week was spent in Rio De Janeiro, where I had a relaxing time. Beaches, great food and a lot of Caipirinha. Visited the common sights like Christ The Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema, football match at the Maracaña and the Favelas.
I also booked a helicopter tour of the city. Highly recommended – this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever done.
I also made a day trip to Cabo Do Arraial. A 2.5h bus ride north of Rio, you will find the most beautiful beaches and turqouis water.
After a week in Rio, i started getting restless. I wanted to see more of Brazil, but didn’t have a lot of time. Found a domestic flight to Vitoria, that only took 45 minutes. I spent a week here, excpet for three days where I decided to rent a car to drive around, and ended up in Belo Horizonte for two nights. The Brazilian nature is beautiful. Forests, mountains and beautiful villages. Recommend stopping in Parque Nacional do Caparao and Ouro Preto, if you’re ever in the area
